FWSA Celebrates 50 Years (1976-2026)

In 1976, a group of mothers of youth soccer players established FWSA as they sought the physical, social, and emotional benefits of organized soccer for themselves. Five decades later, that grassroots effort has grown into one of Fairfax County's most enduring community institutions, offering women the opportunity to stay active and connected through the sport. FWSA will mark its 50th anniversary on November 7 with a private celebration honoring the players, alumni, and leaders who have shaped the organization since its founding in 1976.
